Go to the homepage of mepcobill.pk, enter your 14-digit reference number in the search box and click "Check My Bill". You will see your bill instantly.
Your reference number is a unique 14-digit code that MEPCO assigns to your electricity connection. It never changes for the lifetime of your connection. It's printed in the top-left corner of every paper bill, labelled "REFERENCE NO".
The PITC database (which powers MEPCO bill lookups) typically stores the most recent billing cycle. For historical bills older than 1โ3 months, you may need to visit your MEPCO sub-division office or contact the MEPCO helpline to request copies from their internal records.
If your bill doesn't appear after entering your reference number, it could mean: (1) Your bill hasn't been generated yet for this cycle, (2) You've entered the reference number incorrectly โ double-check each digit, (3) There's a temporary server issue โ try again in 10โ15 minutes. You can also call MEPCO at 0800-63726 for assistance.

๐ณ Payment & Due Dates
MEPCO bills can be paid via: Easypaisa (mobile wallet or USSD), JazzCash (app or *786#), UBL Omni, all major bank apps (HBL Konnect, MCB, UBL, Meezan, Faysal), internet banking portals and at any bank branch, MEPCO franchise office or Post Office.
Paying after the due date incurs a late payment surcharge. MEPCO typically adds 10% on the overdue amount. You'll also see the "Payable After Due Date" amount shown on your bill. Repeated non-payment can result in connection disconnection.
In general, MEPCO requires full payment of the billed amount to avoid disconnection. However, if you have genuine financial difficulty, you can visit your MEPCO sub-division and request an installment payment plan. Approval depends on your past payment history and the discretion of the SDO (Sub-Division Officer).
๐ Tariff & Charges
For 2026, protected residential consumers pay Rs. 5โ14 per unit, non-protected consumers pay Rs. 23โ68 per unit depending on consumption. See our Tariff Rates page for the full table or our Bill Calculator for a personalised estimate.
Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) is a monthly charge that reflects changes in the cost of fuel (gas, oil, coal) used to generate electricity. NEPRA approves FPA adjustments every month. In high-demand months (winter, summer), FPA can significantly increase your bill. It is shown as a separate line item on your MEPCO bill.
An unusually high bill can be caused by: (1) Wrong or estimated meter reading โ request a re-reading, (2) Seasonal increase in usage (AC in summer, heaters in winter), (3) A faulty / fast-running meter, (4) High Fuel Price Adjustment for that month, (5) Tariff slab jump โ if you crossed 200 units, you moved from protected to non-protected rates. Compare with our calculator to check.
